Traditionally, the Ofuro is a deep soaking tub made of hinoki wood. We had never made an online purchase for a bathtub, but we were very attracted to the look of the True Ofuro and the fact that the tub had double built-in seating and a heating system which keeps the water warm indefinitely, helped convince us. We also consulted our contractor and the Aquatica sales team for a few weeks and decided to buy the tub. It has just been delivered right to our garage and we couldn’t be happier with our purchase, the tub is even better than we could have imagined and we’re very excited to start using it.

I hardly ever leave reviews but I was too excited to not do a review on this tub! It literally just arrived and is sitting in my garage waiting to be installed in our new ensuite bathroom. We had been struggling for about 3 months to find a tub small enough to fit in our very small ensuite bathroom. Our contractor came across this Japanese soaking tub and we were impressed, mainly because it would fit in our space, but also because we could both happily sit in the tub at the same time as it has 2 built-in seats! If you’re looking for something unique and petite, I would recommend taking a look at this tub.
